corel-painter-inside

video-buttonAre you using Adobe Photoshop?  Well before I was introduced to Corel Painter my prefer drawing and painting program was Adobe Photoshop.  While in school I was first introduced to Corel Painter.  Since most people use Photoshop I thought I would create a quick video that took you inside of Corel Painter.

I don’t get into great detail however.  For all of you folks out there using Photoshop.  You at least get a taste of what Corel painter is all about.

I have found painter as my primary software package for drawing and painting.  I now only use Photoshop at the final stage for color adjusting and effects..  Hope you like!  post a comment I would love to hear from you!

Great to see someone else extolling the virtues of Corel Painter. I’ve been a fan for years and have always been surprised at how many designers just stick with Adobe products. While Photoshop may be the professional standard, no artist or designer should limit the tools at their disposal in the name of brand loyalty. While Photoshop has its strengths, Painter has always been able to do some things better than any Adobe product. Even the instruction manuals pay testament to that. All the Painter manuals are works of art in themselves.

I definitely must agree with the comment before me.
For years I thought Photoshop was the only way to go, but recently I took a dip in the world of Corel Painter and I was AMAZED by its capabilities! I just recently developed a fervent passion to explore children illustration and found that Painter was MUCH more suited to such a field than Photoshop, although I would never give up the later completely. Thanks for introducing us to Painter and giving it a voice in a world of Photoshop fanatics (I still love you Photoshop lol)
